blog 5: religion

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn13782-religion-a-figment-of-human-imagination.html

This article is about how people need to believe in something and that people always need to feel like they have certain rules to follow or else something bad will happen to them. Humans like to use their imagination. When you first think about imagination you think of a little kid playing dress up. But adults can use their imagination also. Adults use their imagination usually in religion. Religion causes them to use their imagination because they have to believe that if they sin or do something against their religion then they are going to never go to the "happy" place of their religion. For christians that is heaven. Heaven gives them eternal happiness and you are free with god. But if you sin or do something against the christian religion then they go to "hell". I think that people need to believe in something in order to feel o.k. with themselves. People like to base their choices off of their religious rules. People need religious rules as a guide.
